About Us
Since 1991 River Valley School has been providing a fully accredited quality private independent study program to a wide variety of students - from those who have not been working to their potential to honor students in search of a challenging college prep program. Our committment to working one-on-one with parents as well as students empowers parents to take an active part in their student's education, and supports a high level of student success. Our highly individualized programs offer:

- Homework helpline and private tutoring
- ROP hands-on job training
- EDD state approved work experience credit (We issue EDD work permits)
- College credit in high school through community college classes
- Field trips that enrich the textbook curriculum (See "Events" page)

As a result, nearly all River Valley students are on the honor roll. Even if their previous grades were much lower, the personal attention they receive has helped them to reach their full potential. No wonder all of last year's students (except those that graduated) have enrolled again for 2009/10!

Location:
River Valley is centrally located in the Parkfair Professional Building one block east of Watt Avenue and Fair Oaks Boulevard in Sacramento. This works well for our students from Sacramento and those that come in from outlying areas such as West Sacramento, Elverta, El Dorado Hills, Elk Grove and Clarksburg. Current families come to school from as far as Marysville to benefit from River Valley's successful program.
