 Learning.....A N D SO much fun!  First....we took a journey back 5,000 years into the secret afterworld of the Egyptian pyramids, buried beneath 2.3 million tons of stone and untouchable for centuries to unveil their fabulous treasures and relive the discovery of King Tut's tomb in the IMAX movie, Mysteries of Egypt. (We had the theater to ourselves!)  Then...(about a month later) on to San Francisco to the DeYoung Museum! This exhibition presents more than 130 important objects, including 50 from the tomb of King Tut. It places Tutankhamun in a larger context through an additional 80 objects from the tombs of his ancestors, which provide insight into the daily life and royal burial practices of the 18th Dynasty, Egypt's Golden Age. Four additional objecs from Tut's tomb add luster and intrigue to the De Young's presentation. After viewing all the many artifacts, we were inspired to "walk like Egyptians"!
